Working at the Speed of Thought

Working at the Speed of Thought

Tools and processes sometimes improve or hinder our productivity in hard to measure ways, by helping us get into the zone, or knocking us out of it.

I know you work with the SDK, but can you try to put into your schedule to develop a better interface for the "network render/communication with backburner" in maxscript?
Right now you cannot even set depedencies for jobs, and that's really important i think.

Only a little request, thansk for your efforts :D

Cheers.

Yes, that and a way to at least view 2 scripts at the same time, have a look at notepad++, it supports 2 views, with independent tabs.
Some form of intellisense would be really great too, I'm learning c# and the editor is pretty awesome. But that's probably a bit too far fetched for mxs.

What gets me in my zone is the templates I have created over the years for quickly fleshing out a macroscript or a scripted plugin. I also have skeleton code for the way I develop and distribute my scripts to the artists. Presets and skeleton code and quick means to use it, like abbreviations, can get me in the zone fast ( public.subd.nl/screencasts/ ).

Great idea! I'll pass it along, maybe we can find a hero. :-)

Auto-fill syntax in the script editor for ALL known MAXScript functions would be awesome!
SciTE can support it, just need somebody...to code the lookup file...
Productivity in MAXScripting would go through the roof....!
