This video gives a “glimpse” into a preview of technology that Research and Development is playing around with here at Autodesk. First of all, I have to say that the new Wacom Cintiq 24HD (yes…up to 1920X1200!) with Multi-Touch is really, really, really nice. The screen allows the use of 10 digits, opening up a whole world of possibilities for touch-compatible software. The screen also offers 2048 levels of pressure sensitivity for the pen tip (and eraser) and is also capable of detecting pen tilt. In this video you see the interaction between my left hand on-screen, using gestures to manipulate the model, and my right hand using the pen for sculpting and painting. The gestures within the tech-preview build of the multi-touch capable Mudbox, are very fluid, quick and easy to use. I find the use of the display while creating in Mudbox feels very natural. It’s quite nice to tumble, zoom, etc. around with one hand and sculpt and paint with the other. For more information about the Wacom Cintiq 24HD Touch……click here .

Schwatever, I'll wait until next quarter when they team up with Microsoft for a Cintiq Surface. Better have a footpad for 20 digit gestures or I'm saving my money for a house.

Was wondering what are the settings you did for your demo?
Thanks,
