I could have sworn that I posted this link a few months ago, but when asked about the subject was unable to locate it. So I am doing it now: The movement has begun!
I almost forgot to post some of the pictures from the 1st MotionBuilder VIP Cocktail, which we held at Siggraph in San Diego a few weeks ago. We did it up in style at the Altitude Sky Bar, right next to the conference center. The view from this place was amazing and the roof top, open-air concept worked out great as the bar filled up.
I wanted to reply to a post on CGTalk about a "New Version" of MotionBuilder:
Tonight @ the Marriot Hotel we are holding the Siggraph 2007 Autodesk User Group. The event will kick off at 6:30pm and trust me, you want to get there early - this place is going to be PACKED.
I get a lot of long time MotionBuilder users that are unhappy with the removal of the 'Game Mode' option for Characters. First off, I have to make sure that everyone understands this was a necessary move, not something we set out to remove. When we added the ability to set Degrees of Freedom (DOF) on objects, the 'Game Mode' system was not at all compatible and caused some serious issues for the evaluation engine.
First off, as Im sure you all aware and excited for, Siggraph 2007 in San Diego is right around the corner and we are in full crunch-mode to bring you another year of kick-ass announcements. I cant comment publically on what will be announced, but make sure you attend the User Group Event it will be one to remember. And make sure to check out our lineup of MotionBuilder Master Classes this year. We have three hardcore MotionBuilder gurus in for the classes: Brad Clark, Chad Moore and Jason Parks. These guys are putting together some amazing stuff make sure you sign up before they are full!
