Christmas 2008 Wrap-up

Posted by Curtis Garton, 20 December 2008 4:23 am

First up, we issued our first hot-fix for MoBu2009 last week, which addresses an issue with Japanese keyboards and viewer freezing. The fix is available here for all MoBu2009 customers:

For those of you who own a PS3, the ultimate gift for the holidays is finally here: Resistance2. I got to preview it at the Tokyo Games Show a few months ago, but didn’t really get into it until it was released and you could play online co-op. It freaking rocks. So grab a copy, order some pizza and spend a day kicking alien ass. Here is a customer story we did the guys at Insomniac Games and their use of both MoBu and Maya on Resistance2:

For those of you who missed it, we had a huge 3December event this year. For the MoBu community, we launched a new tutorial by Brad Clark on animation looping in MoBu2008:

With MoBu2009 having been released for 2-3 months now, we have seen strong support by our hardware partners. We have new plug-ins from Vicon, PhaseSpace, Xsens and Intersense that now extend support MotionBuilder 2009 for their respective hardware solutions. Thanks to all of our hardware partners for jumping on the MoBu2009 bandwagon.

And with that, I wish you all a happy holidays and we will check in again in 2009!

Cheers,

Curtis Garton
