I have just returned from what I can only describe as a much needed tropical getaway… in Cabo San Lucas.. With my Outlook Out-of-Office Assistant set to auto-delete incoming mail, cell phone battery removed and laptop locked away, I set off to experience the warmth of the Pacific Ocean – Mexico style. To my surprise (and that of most everyone else within 100 miles) we experienced the first class-4 hurricane of the year – Hurricane John.

My re-integration into the office environment started this week. I have been doing my best to weed through my Inbox, but at 600 new emails, it’s bound to eat up most of my time.

After my re-integration, I would really like to dig more into facial animation rigging, retargeting and motion capture solving. I have seen some pretty impressive demonstrations and examples the past few years, but I think we have yet to really crack this difficult area of 3D.
