Hi Everyone,
Thanks for the feedback from the previous blogs. Looks like the series of animation tuts is going down well. Don't worry, I will still get to your submitted topics in good time. Keep the suggestions rolling in!
Animation Generated from Audio
Today, we going to have a look at a new animation tool which automates the creation of animation by analyzing a sound wave to create an animation curve.
I have found the tool very useful because you can isolate the exact sound required to generate the animations.
As you watch the video, don't just think of this tool for animating speaker pulses! It is available throughout the entire application in all channel editors. This means you could drive animation in the colour corrector for example. Maybe camera shake from a crashing sound. Just think about it :)
This video is best watched at full screen with a 1:1 setting
The features shown are current with Flame and Smoke 2010 ext 1
NOTE: In order for the audio to be loaded into action to be used for this function, it needs to be attached to video. It can be loaded as a clip in any media layer. If you load more than 2 clips with audio into the media list in action then the audio for each clip will appear in a pop up window of the audio tool.
I hope that you have had fun with these animation tuts. Take care where ever you are and see you again soon!
