Hi Everyone.

I hope you are all well!

I can't believe that it is already that time of the year and IBC is back!

Autodesk is at IBC 2011 this year showcasing all the latest for Smoke and Flame Premium.

If you're there please come and visit us.  If not, you can watch us live on the AREA.

Just CLICK HERE to go the live site and watch the presentations.

If that has wet your appetite for more information and you would like to try Smoke for yourself than just click on the banner below.

We will also be featuring Smoke at the FCP Supermeet in Amsterdam.
For more information, go to http://www.supermeet.com/

On with my blog!!!

Not forgetting that we have announced the Subscription Advantage Pack for subscription customers, I thought it would be a great treat to show you some of the features in my own unique way...

Subscription Advantage Pack

In this short video, I highlight some of the new features available to subscription customers with Smoke for Mac.

This includes updates to format support, FlameFX and Action...  I dont cover every little detail because that would take too long but it is so jam-packed!

Please keep an eye out for the release date.

This video is best viewed at Full Screen HD

Features shown are relevant to Smoke 2012 Subscription Advantage PAck which is only avaialbe to subscription customers.

Once again, I stress that I have not covered everything so there is the odd extra thing you might see at IBC by watching the LIVE FEED.

One more time, keep an eye out for the release date!

Coming soon to the blog --- A brand new beginner video series on Action - Smoke 3D compositor.  You learn not just about operation but the theory and logic behind why Action works the way it does.  Even experience operators might have some questions answered.

I hope that everyone has a great weekend and a great IBC 2011!

Take care where ever you are!

Signing off for now...

We are on subscription for Smoke Advanced and Flame. Will the ProRes and MXF export options be supported on these platforms as well as Mac? We have wiretap gateway for ProRes import.

Finally, ProRes export functionality! The new action features and flame FX look awesome.
Can't wait to download the subscription advantage pack.

When will it be available? Is it within days or rather weeks?

Hi Steve B,

As far as I know the ProRes support is Mac based. There is nothing available for Linux except using a mac gateway for importing ProRes only. No ProRes export available for Linux. MXF should be should be supported for both Mac and Linux systems. (Disclaimer - I stand corrected but as far as I know, this is the case)

Hi Neelz,

If all goes well, it will be available soon... I don't have any dates but it should be short term rather than long term
