Just a very quick note to let you know that I have posted the rest of the Getting Started Video series on The Smoke Learning Channel.

hi grant,

Inside the source front i added text & light, i tried to add lens flair in source front, but in the result i am not able to see the lens flair. how can i do this. And also i request you to post tutorial for perspective grid in Action.

@gaur_munish root you can do using the mask tools in connect FX... There is currently no auto paint in Pre-Release 1 of Smoke 2013.

@Ravindran_65 What version of Smoke software are you referring to? 2012 or 2013 pre-release 1?

Sir Can u please clear my doubt that is it possible to hard committee on smoke 2013 like all older version in smoke.

Hi Rajesh,

You can hard commit in Smoke 2013. At the bottom left of the timeline view, you will see the gear menu icon. When you click on this pop-up, you will see the commit menu. You can choose to hard commit from this option.

In some previous versions of smoke you were able to import a baked FBX and composite it with video etc, relight it.. i can't seem to do that with 2013, is that not going to be a feature ?

Hi, in smoke 2013, you go into action and import your FBX and it will give you the same functionality as what you had in 2012. There should also be speed improvements as part of ongoing optimisation. Regards Grant

It did be great having a tutorial for working with fbx files, camera , camera projection and real production vex compositing workflow in Smoke 2013.

@screenscopepictures Thank you for your feedback. At some point I will hope to bring out videos on FBX, cameras in action and other workflows in Smoke 2013. However since camera projectors are not officially part of Smoke 2013, I won't be covering those topics.
