I'm giving a Tech Talk titled "Fun With Maya" today at Siggraph in New Orleans(Wed. Aug 9, 1:00-2:30). It will be at the back of the main showfloor (Hall F).

For those who can't attend, a video of it should be posted on The Area probably by tomorrow. I'm going to try to upload many of the demo scenes to my blog over the next week.  It is great to have Siggraph finally back again in New Orleans.

Hi Danny, good to hear from you. That scene is a bit of a mess at the moment. I need to spend a bit more time on it before posting. However there is a similar explosion effect available in the latest update to 2011. It has a bomb effects asset that works in roughly similar way( but is much less complex).

Duncan,

Great demos!
Can you post that nice nParticle explosion scene with the nParticle debris emitting more nParticles..?
I'd like to check it out..
Thanx

For curve flow with nPartices use the new curve field and lower the conserve on the particles a bit.

Hi Duncan,
Is there any way to do a curve flow with nParticles?
