Hi Danny, good to hear from you. That scene is a bit of a mess at the moment. I need to spend a bit more time on it before posting. However there is a similar explosion effect available in the latest update to 2011. It has a bomb effects asset that works in roughly similar way( but is much less complex).

Duncan, Great demos! Can you post that nice nParticle explosion scene with the nParticle debris emitting more nParticles..? I'd like to check it out.. Thanx :D mousses

For curve flow with nPartices use the new curve field and lower the conserve on the particles a bit. Duncan

Just wanted to say I watched the first two parts of your presentation at Siggraph, It was really helpful. I used painteffects really well to created a small golden hand vacuum looking thing by playing with pressure on the tube I made with a gold brush stroke, it was effortless!
