Ken, nice description of the new vector features. Either I missed it or you didn't cover the "x Shape" (or multiply the transform by that of the shape). Basically it means with this option enabled the transformations done to the shape will be passed to Clone result. So if you had a sign Cloned, and you wanted to spin it you simply enable "x Shape" for the rotation, then rotate the shape. Now both the shape and the cloned data rotate together. Something that others and myself wished for years to see in Combustion.

Good point Eric I did forget to mention that. There is so much in this tool it is hard to cover it all in a couple short videos

Ken, your videos are always very clear and to the point. I learn something every time you put a video out. I'm starting to enjoy Composite thanks to you. Please keep up the great work and know that your videos are seriously helping people out.

Hey Ken, is there anything special with 3dsmax & this Compositor? Like a render element output to spit out a comp like the old Combustion days???

joegunn, 3ds max 2010 shipped with a precomp script on the samples DVD. This should provide a render element workflow with the precomp feature. This should be much more powerful than the Combustion feature as you can create your own custom templates to use.

I am guess the same will be available with the 2011 release.

Very cool tool. I could use it right now! Its good to know that composite is still being developed, the industry's jump to Nuke could have been hasty. Thanks Ken.

I don't know anything about Toxic or this precomp feature. If there is a maxscript for 2010 then great. We shouldn't have to hunt down a maxscript to get this function though.

Would still like to see the workflow from 3dsmax to this compositor in a video. Especially showing how to edit this script to customize a template.

I'm going crazy! Because for 2010 and 11 this does not work consistently in the same way..when ever I animate the stroke/bez the background starts moving! I can do a paint stroke and track it in fine..but the min its a clone the background starts shifting when only the stroke transformations are set!
