AU 2011 - Blow Up Stuff with 3ds Max - Part 1: Breaking Objects

Posted by Louis Marcoux, 31 August 2012 4:16 pm

This is first part to an in depth review of my Autodesk University class from 2011 called Blow Up Stuff with 3ds Max. I broke the class into 3 sections and, this week, i'll cover part 1: Breaking Objects.

The class was build around 3 main subjects:

  • Part 1: Breaking Objects
  • Part 2: Simulate
  • Part 3: Add Details.

In a few weeks, i'll post about part 2 and 3. So come back and visit the blog!

In preparation for AU 2012, i wanted to give you an idea of the type of classes you can attend at AU. It's an annual event held in Las Vegas at the end of November and it gathers thousands of people from various industries.

This year is the first year that AU offers a Digital Entertainment track where industry experts will share their knowledge. You can find the full class line-up here:

AU 2012 - Digital Entertainment Class Line-Up

This year, i am working on a class around projection mapping and it is called "Reality Distortion Fields - The Art of 4D Projections".

I hope you enjoy my 2011 class and see you at AU 2012!

Thanks Louis! These are some very helpful tips and insight into blowing stuff up, and I've already discovered a couple of new ways of looking at things through you suggestions.

Is there anyway of receiving a notification for when you make the next two post?
