January 27th 2010 will go down as “X” day in the 3ds Max record books! After a flood of emails I’m slowly coming to the surface to be able to share some of the many comments I have received so far.

Yesterday we conducted the first of what I hope to be many public discussions of Excalibur. Over 600 people from across the globe joined us online to witness what might very well become a historic event in 3ds Max history. If you missed it, no worries as we also recorded it for you….

The response and enthusiasm has been fantastic, and the team behind XBR certainly appreciates all the kind words many have shared with us. Many long days and long nights have gone into making what 3ds Max is today and hopefully we we're able to demonstrate that there is no shortage of thought how we could make it even better with XBR. There are many more details that I would have liked to share but alas we have to leave some secrets for the next time ;)

...until then here are some links to check out what other people are saying about "X" day!

"X" for Xcalibur. I like it. I guess Phoenix was probably overused.

Thanks for it. Looks really good. A lot of things I wish for a long time :)
