hi malmer, it would be best if you contacted support directly to work through your issues or I can also get someone to help if you email me the details of your issues with repro steps (first.last@autodesk.com). I'm sorry to hear your experience has not gone very well on 2010, we would like to work with you to isolate the source of these issues.

So when will the bugfix that makes the program work come? As it is now we've tried on several real world projects to use 2010 but it simply doesn't work. It is broken. Undo is broken, viewports have massive glitches, performance is unacceptable, etc, etc. All fine with new tools but how about having the basic things working?

We've had to go back to 2008, again, since the latest releases have been unusable in an actual working environment beyond simple test scenes. Seems like you only base your fixes on crash reports but nothing on the fact that the program simply doesn't work.

Best release of 3dsmax was version 8. Version 9 was too buggy and 2008 fixed some of them but introduced 64-bit which is why we use it since it is a must. Otherwise we'd keep on using max 8. The only version of 3dsmax that is solid.

Renewing that subscription year after year feels more and more like a no show, since we have to go back to the same version all the time. Good thing that you now update the software every year with crappy versions only to get extra money, but instead causing houses like us to stop subscribing since it is broken.
