Hey everyone, I'm on the hunt for cool/interesting/stunning/bizarre 3ds Max, Maya and Softimage content.  Content that we can use at Autodesk to create software demos for use around the world.

If you have ever seen one of our software demos (and if you read this blog you probably have) then you probably know a bit about what I'm looking for.  Obviously as artists ourselves we want to create diverse and visually interesting demonstrations that speak to all the different ways our customers use our software in Film, TV, Games and Design Visualization.  The only feasible way we can do this is with the very work our customers create.  Any  material we use in demos will get the full credit as requested by you and will be seen around the world, giving great exposure to your work.

So what would we need from you?  First you need to have the legal right to give us the material for usage.  After that we would need source 3d files, materials, any needed assets like scripts. If it also involves live action and /or compositing we would love to get those assets as well and of course, a final.  Before you ask, no we will not give out free software in exchange, sorry.  As I mentioned earlier the big upside to you is exposure.  hundreds of thousands of people around the world could see your work in everything from tradeshows to web videos to images in trade magazines.  I would definitly call it a good deal.

Remember, you don't have to be ILM to apply.  You could be an artist that just completed your own labour of love in your basement.  If its cool work I'd love to hear about it.  If you think you have the work that fits the bill let me know in the comments with a link to an example of the material and any description of what was done that you feel will help me understand the work.  If you are shy you can message me directly on the AREA.

One last note.  If we don't choose your work it in doesn't mean your work isn't good.  More then likely it means that your work would not fit with the workflows or features we are currently working to demonstrate or would simply be to dificult to turn into a demo.

Step up and give it a shot.  What do you have to lose?
