Happy Birthday to me. Well almost anyway. Tomorrow I'm off to Vegas for "One Team Conference" which is an annual Autodesk sponsored conference for employees and partners. While I'm there, on March 2nd actually, I'll hit the big 4-0. Yikes! I'm really hoping to enjoy the next couple of days because I fully expect to wakeup Tuesday morning with poor eyesight, a bad back, trouble urinating and erectile dysfunction.
Old age here I come :( Oh well... I had a good run and it was fun while it lasted :)
So I was browsing through my blog posts the other day and I realized that I never posted the final part of my Mudbox<->Maya workflow demo. I'm a couple months late on this but I figured it's always best to finish what you started even if it takes a while. If you haven't seen the first 3 installments you can check out the earlier posts here...
So here is Part4, the final installment, which will cover generating diffuse, normal and AO maps in Mudbox which will then be associated with the mesh on the Maya side. I'll also show how you can use the TransferMaps tool in Maya to resample textures to work better with a low poly version of the mesh.
And lastly, here is quick extra that shows how you can use Photoshop refine and edit the textures you've painted in Mudbox.
