What do you think of making a new scene in wherever(Maya, Max, Zbrush etc) possible, most of them here I know are freelancers,so if we combine and make a beautiful scene(Ofcourse one alone can make the beauty) But if such ones mix up into many?

It’ll look most beautiful! This is just a proposal if expected members are interested I’ve got my head full of ideas! So, lets make up a small team-like over here, and make separately the objects in the scene(Just the objects at first, i mean without lighting) and then share those among ourselves and arrange them in our scene and then make the best out of it? I may not be much clear but by now you probably understood what I want to say didn’t you? So, if you guys agree for this.. In some time period, we’ll make the ONE!

Among the members here, we do have those which specialize in modeling and in animating and in setting up a scene and so on.. So we don’t seem to have a problem in allotting what to whom..

I know many get the doubt, “what after we make that image?” (Yes..Good question...)
We get good experience with object modeling(though some have a lot of!) and also with team work.. Who knows you might start a new 3D team one day and stand against Pixar! or some other..

You may also want to listen the IDEA first and then you may want to decide whether its do-worthy or not, right? If so, I’ve no objection in telling it. :)

And I can start off with the idea right from here, but if no one are interested in this, whats the use of telling it? :P

btw, we can have that image as self-made too(I mean no copyright that I made this, you made this or something)! as we’re gonna share objects among ourselves and finally render it in a scene with lighting setup and all on our own right? and we can also have a small contest-like among ourselves on the final rendered images of the scene…

Nice isn’t it?

and please If you don’t like it just say I’m not interested or if you want/ don’t want anything in my proposal state them but don’t curse me :P lol…

Thank you! Awaiting your replies! :)

(and, if my idea is so good that The Area liked it and really wanted to place a contest like that?(like the Alien landscape, but that has prizes to be won, this’ll have respect to be won!) :p oops sorry I went way too far..

Any doubts?

Sounds like a great idea. But what exactly will this “scene” be? How many models can one person contribute to it? Would we be going for photo realistic, or just whatever comes out? Hope a lot of people see this as a good idea.

Thanks a lot! Even I hope everyone does so…

well actually, it depends on our furhter discussions about this and the final conclusion of the scene on how-it-has-to-be thing.. I’ve the brief idea of what it is.. Any modifications by anyone will be accepted as far as it leads to the ‘development’ of it… and So far, it IS a photo realistic image and I’ll be posting the concept and idea of the scene very soon with some photos to get the idea much clearly.. I’ll draw those on paper and scan ‘em and send… Thanks for the reply! I wanted the first reply to be positive! and it did! :D

Just one more thing....till now, there are 58 views, and only 3 replies *excluding me*
I know that about 75% of the views of this thread went like “oh many words to read...never mind it now, someone els will hopefully reply”

But i wonder why doesn’t the other people that read all this thread reply...even at least by saying “no thanks im not in”...There isn’t enough energy here in this forum...although it is a very good one :(

Wow! I’m excited! Thanks to you guys!

And yeah, I can understand how people feel when seeing those many words, so I also separated them in paragraphs and also had a ‘bold’ on the question that many get first after reading the above… and yeah, why doesn’t everyone who read atleast reply! Maybe they require a brief description about the whole passage that encourages them to read the whole concept.. :)
You can help me for that. Whenever you reply to anyone’s doubts, just keep this thread’s link in the end asking him as, if hes interested in such work and want to participate, just read it clearly and reply.. Would it work? I started doing that already :)

And yeah about the idea, I started off in papers, will scan it soon and send :) I’ll mail it to you privately so as I respect your privacy, heres my email ‘ ‘ just mail me from yours and I’ll send the concept to that ID. Or if you want it to be posted here, I’ll ! Nevermind… What do you say?

In case there was question, I’m definitely in. One more question: what file formats will we use? I’m sure 3DS Max can’t open Maya files, so are we going to be using .Obj files or .3ds, etc.?
