I’ve searched for “hair light attr” with the new info center: no results were found in the help documents.
Same goes for the search term “kelvin sun” or “edit poly” or every other search term that I tried.

All these search terms yield results when used directly in max help.

Installation info: Max is installed in the default folder on C.  Also using the default settings for the info center and double checked that max help is included in the settings

Think I’ve seen this too, search for common term to have it return nothing.
Can’t be sure if it was Max I was using.
Just taking a look on some common terms it sure seems to be heavily leaning toward Bi-Ped and Character Studio. “Spline” and “geometry” and “move” are referred to how they relate to bi-ped not max in general even though the topic header says 3ds max help.

It’s probably sabotage… those B’s. ;) just kidding.  I will install Max2009 on my computer at home and take a look tonight.  I thought that feature sounded interesting so I hope it works.

I also found that the new InfoCenter does not return the most likely topics.  It returns all sorts of more esoteric items… I wonder if that was by design or a mistake.

I also found that the new InfoCenter does not return the most likely topics.  It returns all sorts of more esoteric items… I wonder if that was by design or a mistake.

I have changed the settings for it now, but when I first used it, it gave me the notification;

“3ds Max:  The emergence of the Architectural Film Downloadable DVD (4/14/2008 12:00 a.m.)”

I’ll click on the link (logged in to Subscription), and it takes me to the 3ds Max 2008 e-Learning Lessons (great lessons too! :) ).

I was able to get the “Updates & Service Packs” page ( http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/ser...id=2334435&linkID=9241178 ) added, but it doesn’t take the link ‘as is’ with a copy/paste (I needed to save the page to the desktop/folder, etc.) -so I’m not sure it is actually using the Autodesk web page for Updates & Service Packs?

The RSS feeds have been working great :) .
