ok, no, just my flex lm license.

seems to reconfigure as stand alone. anyone know why? is there a special network installer? can this be changed after the fact?

please respond within the next 29 days and 22 hours :)

is it just me or has autodesk made an extra special effort to make max 2009 the worst release ever?

I ran into this as well , posted in the installation forum and submitted a ticket to subscription support. I’ll keep you posted.

we fixed it editing the registry, but this is definitely a big issue for people unfamilliar with such things.

we went and copied the key from a non updated machine to the others.

blah!

Question.
Did you have these probelems with installing the Service Pack 1 on a networked license version of Max? B/C our office has Max installed on a network version not a stand alone.

Thanks for your time, I would like to know what I’m jumping into before i install a service pack on my main render computer.

Thanks,
Rickj

Yes, don’t install SP1 if you use a license server

Done and Done - Thanks, Anna!
They do know the max version pulldown for the bug report only goes up to version 9, right?  ;)

Okay, so the ADlm entry does not seem to exist anymore with 2009 registry - so does anyone know the latest workaround for this to switch the license back?

Choose “Other” and put the version at the top of the detail you key in - seems to work.

Just a thought on this licensing - could you un-license it (being a network license), apply SP1 then re-license it? Or will that only work with the Flex licensing?
