| Max Help Not Always On Top
|
|
|
In previous versions of 3ds Max, specifically 2009, any help windows opened were configured to be always on top, so that if focus was taken away from the help window, it would still appear, which was very helpful. In 3ds Max 2010, the Help windows are not always on top, so clicking away from the window causes it to disappear.
Is anyone else able to confirm this with as well?
Thanks a bunch for checking.

What always happened to me was that with Material Editor opened, the help Window could not stay on top.
Closing the Mat Editor used to solve the problem for me.

Not a lot of responses, but it’s happening to at least two other people (me being one of them:P ) --> http://area.autodesk.com/for...deliberate-or-just-a-bug/

And mighty annoying it is too…

Perhaps not a lot of help, but if you install Filebox extender freeware you can choose which windows should always stay on top.

My help also doesn’t stay on top in 2010 and all I can say is… “thank god”. I used to launch the help in a sperate process just so I could alt tab to it rather than having it blocking everything all the time.
