Hi
I posted a new topic in 3ds max 2011 then I got an email “....Forum Admin moved your thread “Composite bad quality render” to new forum: “General Discussion"..."
when I click the link I got a massage “You have no access to this section”
can I know why and where is my topic ?

That should not happen. The email is automatically generated by the forum software when a thread is moved and is not under the control of the admin moving the thread (me, in this case).

Your thread is here. If that doesn’t work either, go to the main forum page which lists each product (Max, Maya, XSI etc), locate the Toxik/Combustion forum, in there open the General Discussion forum - yours is the 3rd thread down (at the time I’m writing this).

Apologies for the inconvenience, I will look into why the email link does not work correctly.

I know (now) - I tried it myself - it is getting the forum names mixed up between the forum being moved from and the forum being moved to.

There is nothing I can do about that as it is a forum coding issue. I have, however, reported the problem to the appropriate people. Hopefully it will be resolved soon.

Unfortunately, if you rename the title of your thread you will get this error if someone linked to the original thread.

It may be that if you rename your thread to the original title, the link will work.

No - this was, as I stated above, a coding issue with the automated emails. It has since been, AFAIK, fixed. The emails now contain a “permlink” which is not forum specific and follows the thread wherever it is moved to.

Steve, is it me, or does this thread look familiar? ;)
