Why I can’t connect to the AREA IRC server sometimes. I’ve tried to connect to the server for >200 times.
The message:
* Connecting to area (6666)
-
* Unable to resolve server

Was fine the last couple of days - I don’t know why you couldn’t connect.

Today is a different matter…

Yeah! I’ve got the same problem today. After several times of try, but now I can log on the server.

I tried to connect, and it says “ekah Nick already in use.”

I don’t get it.  :-/

When I open up the IRC Software, I am prompeted to fill out a form with the options
Full Name:
Email-Address
Nickname
Alternative
Invisible Mode

This is not how the The Area instuctions described it????? How did you guys sign up.

You edited your profile and added a nickname? That’s important.

The “real name” and email addy are not important. In fact, for anywhere other than the Area I never use my real name and certainly not a real email address.The nickname however MUST match the one in your profile. On a server like this the Invisible is pretty irrelevant.

You will also have to create a new Server with the connection information in it. You must use the same password as you use for logging in to The Area itself.
