I would like to read some critics about the contest entries or simply about the contest. So here is the place. Which one is the best model, what do you think?

Ok, i see nobody has the courage or interest to write down his/her opinion about the contest, so i will start.
1. Why are cgi industry professionals in this contest?
2. Those who didn’t follow the rules (including screenshot rules) why are they on the list?
3. Why are there people who didn’t get their screenshots to the list?
So really whats that all about?
And finally:
4. Why didn’t i get any answers from administrators etc? Are these inappropriate questions or what?

I also entered the Mudbox contest with the 3 shots they specified.
I am a student just trying to get my foot in the door. I am optimistic. Although I am not sure why my entry currently doesn’t show up in the voting section of the site, I hope
that eventually my entry will appear once the website updates. I graduate soon and I know the value of getting my stuff out there for critique and other comments. This contest
was a great opportunity. I appreciate it. I will look forward to more. Some of the entries are pretty cool. I didn’t know industry professionals entered. I still like the
professional competition if it presents itself.

Well your guy is quite muscular, lol. I’ve never been to NYC but i would like to go there. I was only on the west side of USA. So i hope that your model will get in as soon as
possible, because the voting is open only till 8th February. As for cgi professionals i don’t know if i have the right to describe them like that. I am curious because there
were some restrictions about the entries. Wait… New York, Florida, Canada i think. Hmm… maybe thats why your model didn’t show up. You are from NYC. The restriction is because
these are the places where the best cgi pros are - if i’m right. My model is my first real and finished model, i’m new in this. I learned using Mudbox during the making of my
entry model.

The whole professional thing is good and bad at the same time. It’s good, because, well, nobody said it was a contest for people who are new to all this,so it would be a bit unfair
not to let the pro’s participate. But it’s bad because with these people participating, more than a half of all the contestants simply lose any chance at winning something.
I’m a student myself and I don’t mean any 3D colleges by that.I’m studying at Tallinn University of Technology,so the whole sculpting thing is more of a hobby for me right
now.And man was I surprised when I saw an entry from someone who works at Blizzard…
All I want to say, instead of making some region restrictions, something other could’ve been done.Like, don’t allow people who work at major companies to participate or something
like that...But then again, that would be unfair :)

Yep thats right Sancho! Never mind. If they want to show the best models on this world game conference stuff, then they need some good models which are pleasing to the eyes.
They need to sell their product, make a commercial, a good impression and it’s not a charity for beginners.

By the way, could someone explain me how to make chains and such things in Mudbox? If it is possible, i would like to know.
