Hi all,
Here is my latest tutorial, of course 90% goes to Steve_Curley for showing me how to do the trick :)…

Thanks again Steve :D
Paradox Tutorial

RAM: 8GB
OS: Windows 7 64-bit

You forgot the splines from the camera to the vertices to either side of the vertical which “shows through” the front. With those in place the lining up of the sides of the gap becomes much easier and more accurate.

I’ll take that e-beer anyway and thank you very much ;)

I have been playing CoD Black Ops a lot...so, i had to do something related to it :P
this is a reflex sight.

Can anyone tell me how could i make the curves smoother...i really don’t know how to do it efficiently, if i tried to do it manually...the polygons of the model simply collapse over each other. Its too difficult for me. any ideas??

I assume you mean areas like those surrourounding the screw holes on the right? Those artifacts are normally caused by having triangles bordering the hole - they really do not mesh(turbo)smooth very well. Make sure they are all Quads and that you have enough edges around the hole - 8 normally works ok. Also check your smoothing groups.
Post a non-smoothed wireframe (or edged faces) screenshot - difficult for anyone to advise when we can’t see the structure of the model. Or alternatively post the zipped scene.

Your models are amazing, I gotta learn how to use 3DS Max.  I’m just getting used to mudbox, but 3DS Max looks really interesting to use.  Your work is inspirational (y) Keep it up (:!

DIAMONDS!!!

I know it looks like shattered glass put together...that is because the refraction are all too wrong (or are they??). I used A&D material, IOR=2.4, and added some black boxes and a checkered BG...I added some omini lights to give specular.

The refraction might be all wrong, but im sure the geometry look like a real diamond...please help me on the material :(
