see what i mean...it looks pretty good. Now if you continued doing small stuff like that, and modeling bigger and bigger stuff as time goes by, you will be modeling a city in full detail...not like the last one you did :zip:
good work!
suggestion: go for lightning tutorials...not very advanced ones…

try looking for tutorials when modeling objects. Don’t do them alone....the monitor is too basic, i don’t know...it has no On/Off button, no settings button, no designs at all (did you see Longboarder’s portfolio, he has modeled a monitor that look really nice!).
The speakers are also basic...I also noticed there is no CPU…
Look for tutorials for modeling computer hardware…
BTW, you are using the same room over and over again, try modeling another room with more stuff in it like bed, desk, door, floor lamp, dresser, cabinet...etc.

Desk is too glossy, monitor has wrong proportions and too many right angles, keyboard looks like an image plane, mouse looks too big compared too the keyboard, and everything cobra said. Looks pretty decent for a first try! By the way, is that the chair you really use? Looks uncomfortable.:)
EDIT:
And here is a great tutorial for when you start modeling the computer:

Old Wars 3D:
What aspect of the render would you want critiques on? Was the exercise to focus on modeling rendering etc.,?
Critiques for most recent image
For rendering, you need to learn Final Gather and GI better because there are splotches on the wall.
You also need to learn how to produce an Ambient Occlusion pass to create contact shadows so your objects don’t look like their floating.
The actual lighting set up is pretty good, you just need to play around with the rendering.
The carpet doesn’t look like cloth, it looks like a carpet material with bump mapping, that doesn’t look convincing. For good carpet I recommend Jeff Patton’s displacement technique, it works amazing, but increases rendering times, you can Google it.
The blinds look like their suspended in the air.
And the scene needs contrast, remember it is a piece of art, you have to know the Color placement of your scene.
Hope this Helps
