Wow! Very nice! Even I do some models like that, just google some random name and if any interesting model comes up, I’ll do that! lol… btw, Comparing both the images, the joystick head(sphere) has bump on it in the actual imaeg but yours is smooth! maybe its this, That joystick from google is an old used one but yours is just out-of-the-pack! Awesome though!!
Good job!
aah! I almost typed about the wood texture.. hehe lol

Thanks.
I made the sphere to be smooth and the body to be shiny on purpose, because in the original image, its colors where lame...lol

Great use of color. Reminds me of something that came out of a comic book.

hehe Yeah! btw, you used an image plane for your camera in the scene right? or did post work in Ps? ( I’ve got these doubts because of the black strip at the bottom, and that too its behind those sparks, which seem like you made them in Ps with motion blur effect)

No...in fact, everything is 3D...even the smoke ( i used the “Fire Effect” for it in 3ds max, and not PS), but the background is an HDRI image ...if you want it...please do say so :-)

This one rocks than that! (for me) Its so.............!!! Very good! Maybe much thicker lines make it more cartoon-ish… like the Mr.Bean cartoon(if you get that in your place too) :)
Good job! btw, have a look at this http://area.autodesk.com/for...ys----must-read-everyone/ :) Thanks…
