That’s better, but I think it is a bit dark. Are you using radiosity or GI? Also, the picture frame in the back appears to have a metal frame - most likely it would be wood and very ornate back then. The king wouldn’t stand for such a simple frame :)

Im fixing the scene at the moment, but first i have a question, what is a “MR Area Omini” and whats the difference between it and “Omini” and also what is “MR Area Spot"{ and whats the difference between it and “free spot”....and the overall question...WHAT IS “MR”?
i tried them and didn’t notice any difference.

MR is Mental Ray - a rendering engine.
You need to look at the user reference regarding the omni vs spot lights.

Oh yeah...I remember this apple scene. When I was a wannabe artist, and was trying out Art of Illusion, after failing to commit to Blender.
Did you recreate it with 3ds Max or Maya or whatever software you’re using?

I think your catching on with modeling pretty well. But you do need work on rendering and material application.
Many of your materials look very primitive and fake, just keep working on it, eventually you’ll improve.
Oh and do you mind telling me how you modeled the apples, I’m really curious to know :)

The apples themselves are easy, but the bites out of them, is what I don’t exactly know how to do…
