Yes i know, the scene which has the houses has no shadows. In this scene i used “skylight” and when i go to it’s options i can see a check box saying “enable shadows” but the problem is that i cant enable it, so i tried using a spot light, yes there were shadows but the scene looked very VERY odd, so i just left it with no shadows. (do u know how can i fix this problem?)

Whats over exposure?
Over exposure is term that came from the photography world. The film was over exposed. For the rendering/computer generated world: light colors that get so bright, or too bright, where details are lost and no longer distinguishable. If your vase on the table had small bumps, or small cracks, the viewer will no longer be able to see those subtle markings when the scene is over exposed. Also, if you do an eye-dropper test, you will see that all the colors in any hot-spots (areas that suffered from over-exposure) will all be the same values. Most likely that will happen to your vase on the table.

- is the check box grayed out or disabled? When click it nothing changes in the scene?

one thing that might help, is maybe more understanding the lighting, chucking a light in and getting a dark shadow means there are shadows, but that would never happen in real life, because in real life the light bounces around the room or all the objects and makes the shadow more faint. try to make a scene based on a photo or something that you can compare yourself, and look at how you can get the same effects, you can clearly use HDRI and you have used the skylight to create neutral lighting, you’ve also got the knack of shadow casting with a spotlight or whatever you used, maybe the next step is combining them all on one picture and trying to get that picture perfect. the images all look good by the way, the style of the coke image is fantastic. Try looking up a lighting dome, and 3 point lighting, this will help you understand the basic art of recreating the basics of light in 3d, once you have sat and fiddling with a lighting dome until it looks right you would be amazed how much more you would have learnt about lighting cg material. once you understand how this works, you’ll have a better understanding of global illumination and different ways to achieve it, many good renders are achieved by using mental ray or vray and global illumination, people then taint the images in post production in photoshop, or fiddle with lights to get the exact effect they are after, but everyone has there own technique. And many cool effects are achieved by different slots in the material editor, which gives the light more things to react too, for example, the bump slot and maybe reflections have a heavy impact on how an image looks, the bump slot for example because the light has more shadows to cast and this can give a more real contrast to an otherwise tiled image. Good luck experimenting with these and good job so far. :)

It would look a lot better if you fixed the background. Even if you were focusing on the tv and modeling, it still helps the whole scenes look when it all looks good.
