For my modeling demo reel i am doing Dante from Dante’s Inferno, would i have to contact EA/Visceral games to use their character model?

Legally you’d have to get their permission.
Maybe a dumb question, but why would you use someone else’s model in your modeling demo?

i thought the design of the character was pretty unique

i have also seen character models from different companies used by students at the program
