Where can i find or see the Cover Images for all releases so far? I want to see them from as far back as 3DStudio R1 to R4 as well as 3dsMax R1 to R12.

Thanks

Moved from Max/News and Announce as this is neither news or an announcement.

I’m not aware of any such collection of images - you may be able to obtain them directly from Autodesk, but they will undoubtedly be copyrighted therefore any (commercial) use to which you put them would likely require prior consent from Autodesk.

Ok. This may show up my age but i started on 3dsR3 when it was a DOS based program.

I took it up after I saw an image of (I think) a Carousel which was the cover of either 3dsR2 or 3dsR3. That mesh of the Carousel came with the susequent release of 3dsR4 of that I am sure. I must still have that mesh lying around.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This article is about the amusement ride. For other uses, see Carousel (disambiguation).

“Merry-go-round” redirects here. For other uses, see Merry-go-round (disambiguation).

Carousel in Paris, France
A carousel (from French carrousel, from Italian carosello), or merry-go-round, is an amusement ride consisting of a rotating circular platform with seats for riders. The “seats” are traditionally in the form of rows of wooden horses or other animals mounted on posts, many of which are moved up and down via gearwork to simulate galloping, to the accompaniment of looped circus music. This leads to one of the alternative names, the galloper. Other popular names are roundabout and flying horses.

Wasn’t getting the spelling correct. looked up the net. :-)

Well found. I thought I had seen them somewhere here. But those are splash screens for Max, not the original DOS 3DS. The first version I used was Max 1.2, which had no splash screen and of course the DOS programs didn’t.
I found the 3DS 4 box with Google Images on this site.
