Since Vray costs $900 dollars and Mental Ray comes with 3ds Max, I was wondering if Vray is really worth buying.

Note: I’m still using 3ds Max 8 sp3

How long can you use the trial? Is it a 30/day trial?

You get to keep it forever, but it has a res limit and a watermark.  Look in my portfolio and you can see the largest it gets.
