Does anyone know where I can buy some models of Industrial Robots? Similar to the ones on this site:

http://www.robots.com/

I’d like to buy some ready-made models for a quick project I have coming up..

Thanks

I like this one:

http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/robot-arm-nachi-lwo/424059

but I don’t think everything will translate over to max correctly (hoses and hydraulics?).. Otherwise it’s perfect.. I can change the claw to other elements (I need about 6 different robots)..

I purchased the OBJ version.. It has no textures or mapping, no hierarchy/rigging, and comes in as one single model (not complaining, I knew all this when I bought it).

I’d like to contact the author and ask if he could send me a text file of his hierarchy, or at least the proper name for each part.. Maybe even a high-res pic or two so I can see things a little clearer..

However, I can’t see how to actually contact an author on Turbosquid.. Is there a way to contact the author?

Edit:

Arg, I guess not.. From the website:

Question
May I publish my contact information on TurboSquid?
Answer
No. Since TurboSquid offers extensive and guaranteed support, as described under the TurboSquid Quality and Service Guarantee, TurboSquid does not allow vendors to publish any form of contact information on the product preview pages, or anywhere else on turbosquid.com or affiliate sites. Contact information includes URLs to external websites, email addresses, physical addresses, phone numbers, etc. TurboSquid also does not allow contact information embedded in preview images uploaded to TurboSquid.

I know that you can leave comments on ranking the product that you purchased. Maybe you could leave a comment with an email address that he can reach you at. And then hopefully he will read your comment and get in contact with you.

I don’t think this is true…

Actually, our support team can contact vendors of models on your behalf when you buy one of their products. We don’t allow direct contact (for privacy, etc.), but that doesn’t mean you have no way to ask questions like this. Simply open up a support ticket on the TurboSquid website (www DOT turbosquid DOT com SLASH support) and ask our team. They will try to get answers for you.

If you have issues with a model, then we can always help you get it resolved.

Hope that helps,

-=Beau

I found a nice place to sell or buy 3d models. http://www.cgtrader.com offers a lot models, also there you can find free models. And easy filters to find what you need. Maybe there you’ll find, what you need.
