I know it is kind of a waste of space on the forums, that is why I put it in off topic..
But I just bought Rendering with Mental Ray and 3ds Max! Bought it for $38.00 from used Barnes and Nobles. Can’t wait to read it, I’m probably going to read it after my current project, since I don’t want to prolong it, finally I will know all of the fancy wording under the Final Gather, Global Illumination, and Caustics roll out :)! And I also bought 3ds Max 2009 for $100 for a 13 month license, I also still have 3ds Max 9 installed, since getting 2009 was such a low cost, I’m like OK I’ll just buy it.
Thanks for reading %-P

It is amazing, it covers everything I have been dying to know, talks about Arch & Design materials (mia_materials), Final Gather, global illumination, lighting, and everything that has to do with mental ray. You should get it, it is kind of expensive though but I bought it used, if you want to get half the book free, it is on books.google.com pages 1 to like 125. ;-)

I’ll just buy it from borders, and get it used.  It’s like 40% off.
Thanks.

Borders has used? I should have maybe bought it from Borders then, since I have a gift card, I only didn’t buy from Borders because of the ridiculously high price, so high that it would cost just as much as a used from Barnes and Nobles (I have a $30 card).

EDIT EDIT EDIT
I think you should buy it from B N, the used on Borders is $100 for a $50 book, :wow:, the lowest is $48,
here is the link

Check it out
