Ok, was using IE8 for a good while… upgraded to ie9. First BIG problem… went to newegg.com to buy some computer crap. ALmost everything on the site would NOT work. Reverted back to ie8. Figured I’d give ie9 another try...same problem!
found the solution here:

PROBLEM IS APPARENTLY Postcript Type 1 “HELVETICA” font family. You must unistall or deactivate this widely used font for ie9 to work?!?!?!? uggh. Solution if you need to use this widely used font though… get the OpenType version of it… (maybe TrueType may work, I dunno?). Apparently HelveticaLTStd-Roman is the equivalent to Helvetica.
Seems you have to deactivate the entire Helvetica Postscript Type 1 font for ie9 to work...not just the one Helvetica. Hopefully this bug will soon be fixed.
Hope this helps! (yeah...yeah, don’t need to hear should of used Firefox or Chrome etc etc blah blah blah… screw em. All apps have their own probs).
