Just downloaded ZBrush 3.1 30-day trial, been learning it for like an hour. The user interface is one of the worst I have ever seen, if is three times as confusing as Blender, and you can’t figure out what tools you can use when, and when you can’t use the tools, and it’s really confusing. It took me 10 minutes to figure out how to create a new document.
I create an arm, with zspheres, I still can’t find out how to skin it even though I keep pressing Unify Skin, and it calculates but doesn’t unify it.

Hi Austin!
I think you should check this before messing out with ZBrush:

If you think of ZBrush as a conventional 3d software, you will suffer to learn it. Once you pass the initial learning curve you’ll love it!
cheers

Thanks for the link, I defienetely don’t think of it as a conventional 3d software, I think of it as a software to add high-levels of detail to models.

It’s most like a 2.5D painting software with AWESOME 3d tools.
there’s also a fully searchable help in download center
