You have all of the information...it just sounds like you need to make the move. They’ll teach you art, that’s when you can determine how good you are.
If you actually are “...so die hard to do this as stated” and you have the resources to do it, I’d say “$hit or get off the pot”.
(@Austin: please stop giving advice. You’re just not old enough and many, many times are just plain wrong.)
make what move? i’ve already ENROLLED in the school and courses...as I said in the original post..school starts this January....
My intent with this post was simply to garner and gain REAL world knowledge and input from people actually having traveled this path already or doing this right now, REGARDLESS of age!! wink..
already I’ve gained one valuable insight that I was previously NOT aware of..the whole ART “requirement” as stated, previously I had been told and read that in the world of 3D modeling, one did not have to be “art-sy” to succeed in this..but NOW i’m hearing otherwise… and so with that in mind I may have to decide for myself but I for one will look into takin an art class NOW as well..jus to stay on point…
not sure what your beef is with this Austin character...I mean readin his posts, its not like he’s givin out of this world advice.. all he seem’s to be doing is...well basically adding his two cents..and it doesn’t take a rocket science to see that its basically DOWN to earth stuff,. nothin that would break anyone nor steer them the wrong way.... his suggestion to call the school? how is that bad advice? that would only help a body out..
but back to the thread.. IF ANYONE else has any other input or advice feel free to add to this…
I.E. people KEEP makin references to the fact that MOST of the jobs are outside of the gaming/movie circle, SO PLEASE expand on that.. what types of jobs are these, pay/salary range...are they enjoyable.. what do yOU love about them or hate about them.. <-- this is the type of feeback and input I had intended to recieve with my original post… SORRY if it wasn’t much clearer before..
