Very cute.
That is always an issue.
What I used to do, and it still works now but the reasons are different, was this.
Because the only animation system I had to work with was 10 miles from home (late 80’s), I would plan on paper my next day’s strategy. Go to work, execute the plan, make notes on the next steps and work on it at home, while hanging out in the bathroom while my son took a bath, or whenever there was a moment or two.
I still do a variation of it today: I’ll be thinking about the next steps and jot down ideas when possible.
Just because you cannot always have the computer in front of you, does not mean you have to stop thinking about 3D.
I don’t have a laptop to carry around. Sometimes I would like to connect, but I use the “away” time as thinking/concept time.
Don’t worry. You will adjust. Just be aware that your life will never be the same as it was. Different, and probably much better.
