Hello all,
I have been majorly interested in 3d for quite some time.  Took a course back in college with 3ds max and loved it.  Recently, I signed up for lynda.com and have done a plethora of tutorials and also picked up a book.  I have been thinking about going back to school for this, but the price of it is really holding me back.  I already have a bachelor’s in Comp Sci, so this would be a pretty major career change.

For the pros out there, how many of you learned on your own vs school?  And how did you do it?  Did you pick up books?  Take some classes (which ones!?) The program I am looking at can be seen here:

Thanks for any advice!!!

Chris
