Hi, I got a horrible assignment to make a 16 legs character walks through a kind of a jungle, and the walking/running cycles are pretty intense to animate, I tried repeating the cycles and then just making small adjustment on each of the keyframes but the thing is they are constantly changing the terrain surface and making me reanimate the whole thing, I know 3ds Max is also used to create video games, is there a way to make my character walk on the surface has it was a video game character? that would make my life so much happier and my existence so much easier, so I would like you to tell me if this can be possible and maybe point me to somewhere or somehow I can do this, thanks for your attention cheers!!

This can be done through a script, but I am not the one to help you
(I know since Automatron is all scripting and it does this).
I recommend posting to the animation forum
(if you are using Max, check the relevant software package animation forum otherwise) for some real help.
