Hey guys I been looking every where for information on working for NASA on all these previs animations they do all the time. I’ve always had a fascination for space and there animations in recent years have been great. You all know where to look? Obviously NASA’s site Im sure but what about software? Prior experience? What do they look for? Things like that. I found an email for one of the lead guys who works at Cal Tech I believe it was and sent him a message but I dont expect to hear back.

The one thing you need to understand is NASA is made up of contractors.  Usually the animations you see are program/contract specific. They can originate from other sub contracted cmpanies also. Depending on the program. Recommend you contact NASA Public Affairs You could try to contact Dan Maas at maasdigital. You coulalso try to contact Space X, based in Texas…

Sound good Ill look into those thanks. This is the guy I wrote to… Robert Hurt of the Spitzer Space Telescope Viz team. Seems his name is all over 90% of the stuff I’ve seen! So figured they did work from with in too. I’ll start researching those two places you mentioned though. Thanks again!
