Hi all, I am just starting to finally get into to cat. I am doing a simple animation of the Base Human jumping from one box to another, after it lands, I want it to jump on the spot, rotating 180 degrees. Every time I try this it is like the pivot point is off to the left. It rotate ok when I just turn it, bit as soon as I record an animation, the pivot point is off.

Any ideas appreciated.

Cheers

Richard

Hi Tyree, thanks for the reply. Yes I tried both options, it made no difference. I am using the “Animation Layer Transform” top move the CAT. I can rotate and set key frames just fine if I do it as soon as I make it, however, as soon as I move the CATS position, then try to rotate the CAT is turns off axis.

It’s pretty odd.. I am sure I am missing something, just have no idea what and cannot find anyting on this.

have you tried deleting the layer and using a new one. when you rotate the transform layer it creates rotation and position keys. maybe one of them isnt matched up right. you could rotate or move the whole rig by selecting the pelvis and platforms. but I would do it in a local layer

mmm, yeah tried that and no joy either. I thought it should be a simple thing. MY character was jumping from one box to another, then I wanted it to jump up and turn 180 degrees to face where it had come from, then jump back to the first box, then jump and spin, and loop away.

Cheers
