Hey guys, I’m assuming this is a simple problem (such as an option I need to check/uncheck), so:

I’ve got a CAT rig, the parent is linked to a dummy (which happens to be controlling a motorbike), meaning the whole CAT rig moves with the dummy and follows the bike.

I have another dummy controlling the handlebars of the bike, and I’d like this dummy to dictate the movement of the CAT rig’s hands.

I’ve tried rigging it a few different ways (such as linking the palms to the bike’s actual polys, or creating extra dummies) but the result is always the same; the palms move without the arms!

I was expecting movement similar to biped, where you move the hands, and the rest of the arm follows due to the IK. but this never happens. Do I have to create a certain kind of animation layer, or enable some form of IK allowance?

Also, foot platforms are EVIL.

Ok is simple:

Step1 - Select the hand of your cat rig model

step2 - go in menu motion in Limb Animation group

Step3 - click on Create IKtarget button (cat will create a helper point on the hand)

step4 - clik on Select IK targhet button and automatically cat will switch the ik on
the pointer

Step5 - move the IK/FK slider to Ik

now you can link or unlink the pointer on any object that you want

ciao
