I’ve locked a CAT character to a motorbike with an animation layer (using layer transform gizmo), Followed by an adjustment layer that positions the character’s limbs to sit properly on the bike.
I’ve got a CAT animation layer in which the character moves his feet to push the bike backwards.
The problem is: the CAT motion layer has it’s own root position, so when I turn up the CAT motion weights, the bones try and move to the CAT motion’s 0,0,0.
I need to know how I can have CAT motion (walk cycle, walking on the spot) that inherits the position set by the layer transform gizmo. Walking along a path node would not apply as the character needs to stay rooted to the motorcycle.
Thanks for any help

I’ve solved this issue.
It turns out I could use the point helper (which was linked with the layer transform gizmo) as the ‘walk on path’ node. I assumed the ‘walk on path’ involved some kind of spline animation, but was mistaken.
Sincerely, a CAT noob.

Correction: I used the actual Layer Transform Gizmo itself, not the pointhelper.
