When I copy and paste a layer, the original one gets all empty and the rig is laying down. So I am not able to duplicate a layer.

Saving a clip doesn’t work either cause it does not store track controller settings (eg. noise controller).

How can I save a layer with all controllers intact?

saving a clip with animation controllers is supposed to work but doesnt always. try merging a rig into another scene.

Nope, even if I merge the rig in a fresh scene, still no luck. It simply doesn’t work. I even tried with a very basic default CAT rig, no luck so it’s not related to my rig.

CAT had/has a lot of issues so I am not surprised.

why dont you save the clip without the controllers and reapply after. I cant imagine why your having problems with default rigs.

autodesk would do better to release a more stable version max. even if that meant using the old engine. and releasing the xbr version of max like geppetto a work in progress
