hello everyone:
I am new to CAT, and I try to rigging my char with cat ,after that, set up muscle strand around upperarm and forearm bending area, I follow every step from CAT help (which built-in 3ds max help file), I linked the start and end parts(not handle) to both arms, let arms to drive muscle strand ,and muscle strand drive my char skin, but muscle strand seems not make my char skin deformation porperlly, either no respond to my char skin or squash/stretch badly. Here my questions:
1. Because muscle strand has two kind of types, bones type for skin modifier, mesh for skin warp modifier (according to CAT help) ,and I set to bones type, do I need to ajust muscle strand weights after I add them to bone list in skin modifier(same as CATMuscle)??
2.If I enable squash/stretch option , will muscle strand deform char skin automatically??
3.Sometimes, muscle strand “did” dirve my char skin, after I enable squash/stretch option. and it “seems” will work well , but after I ajust multiplier and relaxed length, it messed up totally, why?? I just can’t figure out and it bothers me for days.
Can someone help me?? thanks.
ps:English is not my first language, so if I wrote something wrong, please forgive me, and I use MAX 2011 CAT.
