I have installed SP 1 and it states in the fixed items that Manipulation Causes Scaling in animate mode is fixed.  Has anyone been able to get this work?

I’ve checked marked this for an entire arm and applied an animate layer and made it active.  When I pose the wrist it does not stretch the arm like in setup mode.  If I move the palm the arm does not stretch but you can move the elbow and cause it to stretch but it later snaps back to odd positions.

Has anyone been able to get this work?

I’m running into the same issue and it’s really driving me crazy!

It is listed as a fix in SP2 but I still cannot get it to work even in sp2.

I’m using SP2 and the manipulation simply doesn’t work. It was working previously (Max 2011 I think) and looks like it has been broken with all the changes they have been doing.

There are only two reasons why I put up with 3ds Max:

(1) Being able to use Cebas finalToon and,

(2) CAT with its beautiful and superb motion.

But now with CAT having so many issues it really is beginning to look grim (although I must admit it is not crashing as much for me in SP2).

Please Autodesk or Ken if you’re listening, fix this quickly with a hot fix.

Thanks from Peter.
