Hi,
Maybe this should be posted in general animation section, but since i have only had this with CAT i’ll post here. When i am animating my character either with set key plants or
auto key, when i make a rotation key on for example frame 10, its makes the actual key on frame 15 or so it shows on the timeline. I think i may have altered something without
knowing, im pretty new to animation too so any help would be greatful..
Thanks guys ,,

You generally get this when the Time Warp values for the layer are out of sync with where the keys for the CAT Parent lie on the time range. If you select the whole rig
(including the CAT Parent) and shift the start or ends keys while animating, it will also adjust the time warp keys associated with the CAT Parent. It’s best to deselect the CAT
Parent, so you only adjust the keys for all the other selected bones and IK targets - if that’s what you intended.
To check this, select your CAT Parent (the big triangle with arrow) and have a look at the Time Warp values at the two keys that define the time for that layer. If the values
match where the keys are placed then you shouldn’t be getting this offset problem. If they don’t then what’s happening is that when you set a key, it’s getting “warped”.
Side note:
I use time warps for global layer adjustments. You can also add keys to the time warp track (in trackview) to make additional time tweaks between multiple time warp keys. Once
done however I will collapse down to a new layer to reset the time warps to only the start and end, with the values matching the key times.
