Greetings All,
Peace. Just wanted to know if anyone knew where I could download a 2008 3ds Max trial. I have 3ds Max 2009, but I want to work on my net book and figured that the system requirements for 2008 would better suit the net book, and allow me to get it through a download since the net book does not have a CD Rom. And are you legally allowed to download a previous versions--I guess that should be the first question :) Thank you.

Not from Autodesk - they only provide the current version. Also, there is no “free” version of Max - there is a time-limited trial, that’s all. Beyond that you have buy a license (of one kind or another) I’m afraid.
Max 4.2 through 2013.

I’m not sure 2008 will perform much better anyway if at all. What os do you have on your netbook?
