Hi,

im sorry to say I cant get my head around the new AD and its driving me mad!!!

In max 9, and when AD was on, all objects in the scene would display as bounding boxes when panning.....BUT!!!! would stay wireframe or shaded when moving objects about.

I cant seem to get Max2008 todo this, nomatter what I adjust in the new settings.
I can get the scene to display as bounding boxes when panning, but when I move an object the whole scene (other than the object I have selected) converts to bounding boxes also, So...the object Im moving I cannot tell where to move it too because the whose scene is now a bunding box!

So...all I need is a way to convert to Bounding box when panning ONLY!...all other times I would like the objects to stay the way they are.

Is there anyway todo this?

cheers

In Adaptive Degradation Panel, did you check “Never Degrade Selected”? I have this checked so that object transforms do not affect Viewport degradation on selected objects. However, this does mean that if you pan or orbit while objects are selected, no degradation will occur on selected objects.
