hi there i was just wondering why adding an mocap to my biped changes it completely an in doing so screws up my mesh i imported a model from my HL2 mod and i made a biped for it but adding a mocap i downloaded from the web changes my bided it’s re-scaled and re-sturctured. i’ll attach the file so you can see what i mean and any help would be appreciated.

Make sure you DON’T have “rescale biped to match file” checked when you load the bip.

Load the bvh onto a newly created biped, save off a bip and toss the new biped.

Load the bip onto your character and it should be fine.

You have to go into your skin modifier and edit the envelopes (or explicitly weight the verts). Do the tutorial on skinning a character that comes with max. It will help a lot.
